FILIPINO RECIPE (ILOCO)

Sweetwater Dank Tank Fresh Sticky Nugs

Sweetwater Dank Tank Fresh Sticky Nugs is indeed one of the best strong beer ever! This beer made from Georgia, USA is one of those beers you should taste. This best strong beer will certainly complete your alcoholic cravings, as agreed by majority of beer reviews in the internet.
Dank Tank Fresh Sticky Nugs has a deep red body that is orange around the edges. The center is opaque due partially to the dark red color, but also partially to quite a bit of haze. The head looks great, with about a finger and a half of dark-tan head. The head is thick and foamy looking, with great retention and lacing. Its appearance is excellent due to its graphics, indeed one of the factors to consider that it is one of the best strong beers in the market today.

The aroma is quite a good one for me in contrast of some beer reviews wherein they hate it. It has lots of sweet caramel malts, with even more hops. It also has lots of fresh, grassy hops with hints of generic citrus and a good bit of grapefruit. This best strong beer mixes the luscious effect of its aroma and its hops.
The great fresh hop flavors of this best strong beer from the aroma come through a little bit toward the end of the beer, with juicy citrus and a little bit of grass. The finish and aftertaste leaves the impression of a rich, complex beer, with both hops and malt represented. I think the aftertaste might be the best part of the beer, that’s why I still consider this beer as a good one as agreed by other beer reviews on the internet. The big fresh hop characteristics that are in the nose don't translate well into the flavor which is a big turndown on this beer. A very sharp bitterness comes through first, with a heavy pine and grapefruit flavor to back it up, but the flavors are quickly silenced by big malty notes that mix a ton of caramel malt with toffee and dry, toasted flavors.
The mouthfeel is quite good. Thick and creamy, Fresh Sticky Nugs has the body and carbonation down.

Fresh Sticky Nugs is a solid beer, with its best characteristics being the fresh hop flavor and the aftertaste. A little bit sweet for me, but still a great beer indeed. This beer is recommended for some office parties and dinner dates.

Shock Top Raspberry Wheat

Shock Top Raspberry Wheat is one the beers I didn’t enjoy the most. Meanwhile, on some beer reviews, it’s a highly favorite and they consider it as one of the best light beers. This beer made from Missouri, USA is a native favorite of Americans that’s why I consider trying it.
Its appearance on the first hand is a plus factor for me. Other beer reviews love its graphic presentation. This so called “best light beer” pours a surprisingly orange hue with expected cloudiness. A half inch weak white head fades quickly to a thin rim leaving no lacing. For a wheat beer it is a strange color and has a shocking lack of head, but it does look kind of cool with that orangey glow it gives. If we are only talking about its appearance I guess I could agree that this is a contender to be consider as one of the best light beer.

Its aroma is just a “So-So” for me. Overripened berries and tangy malt come through first followed by an unenjoyable lite beer; adjunct character I may say. It seems like it could’ve been decent without that. I like how beers smell as fruits, but this one is a bit different; not a fan of its aroma.

Its taste for me is the deciding and last factor if I would agree that if it is truly one of the best light beers in America. I was not surprised at all when I tasted it. It was awfully unrounded; each part sticks out huge in the mouth. First comes the light beer character of watery lager, followed by a big over ripe fruit character and finishing with both a hint of bitterness and a strongly sweet raspberry. None of the parts in themselves are overly appealing and each stick out from each other, making the overall experience a bit of a rotating mess on the tongue. As the beer warms the fruit flavor becomes more dominating but seems artificial. I may say it’s still okay but not enough to consider it as one of the best light beer. Different beer reviews were kind of disappointed when they have tasted this.

Its mouthfeel was a bit watery and with only a mild carbonation. If the taste were good it seems like the mouthfeel would be at a nice level to make this an easy drinking fruit beer, unfortunately the conglomerated mess of flavors that come forward stick in the mouth.

It’s utterly unenjoyable and superbly disappointing for all the things it could be. With a little more effort it seems that this could be a decent fruit wheat beer like Sam Adam's Blackberry Wit instead it comes out as this wild assortment of unfortunate flavors added to a bad light beer base. This is not good. This beer is recommended to all the drinkers out there, so you could decide yourselves if I am right or what.

Pliny the Elder

Pliny the Elder is definitely the best light beer I had ever tasted! This beer made from California, USA is truly a worldwide favorite; it is very evident on different beer reviews in the internet, magazine and newspapers.
The appearance of this best light beer pours a clear golden color with a bit of light copper mixed in. A big, frothy, creamy white head appears and stays around for a long time throughout the drinking experience I may say. It leaves some scattered lacing behind. Numerous very small bubble streams rise to the top creating a lively and inviting appearance. Even it has that simple graphics; its lacing effect was the best. It is a “push factor” so you would be tempted to taste it.

Its aroma is another great factor for this best light beer. The first aspect I noticed was a blast of fruits, which I considered okay. This included orange and lemon citrus and mango and pineapple tropical fruit aromas. A touch of floral hops finishes this one off. I like it very much. The hops plus the fruit scents, considering that this fruits are worldwide favorites as well.

The taste is quite different than the aroma, but certainly not in a bad way. There is a significant increase in pine-ish and resin-ish taste that isn't found as easily in the smell. A mild spicy hop profile is also noticeable as recognized on all beer reviews as well. The citrus and tropical fruits are present, but not as up front as in the nose. A slightly hop bitterness acts as the conclusion.

The mouthfeel of this best light beer has definitely on the heavier side for an IPA. A resin-ish feel coats the tongue while a perfect amount of carbonation allows the flavors to dance across the palate. Its nice, crisp finish prepares you for the next tasting. I definitely love everything about this beer. No wonder it gained almost majority of positive feedbacks on different beer reviews.

I have enjoyed the DIPA of this best strong beer! It's no wonder this is constantly rated as one of the great beers out there. This beer is recommended to all those beer lovers out there! Definitely, a perfect beer for all of us.

Modus Hoperandi

Modus Hoperandi is definitely one of the best native beer and one of the best light beer I had ever tasted. I found out about this beer from several beer reviews from magazines and internet. I am curious for it so I decided to buy one, to prove as well if it’s really one of the best light beer ever.
I am confused by the graphics on the can of this beer made from India. It’s quite artistic and I guess the graphics is truly persuasive. Upon cracking and pouring from this artistic can, it seemed a bit flat, but a quick sip to the lip disconfirmed my assumption. This one is just a sleeper and will prove you wrong. I guess its “illusion factor” puts it to its place as one of the best light beer, which I’m beginning to believe.
It pours cloudy amber with a previously stated tame head. The retention around the edge however was very good and truly enticing. I agree with other fellowmen who got posted their beer review about this one, that as you open it, some “illusions” are very present.

Upon approaching my nose to this beer, I was assured it was going to be a hop bomb, excellent indeed, a plus factor to consider it as one of India’s best light beer. In the can it almost smelled like “7-Up”, another “illusion factor” of it. Poured into a SA perfect pint, it spews with floral and pine notes. Grapefruit and earth don't stagger too far behind, another plus factor for me. Its aroma was a top favorite among other beer reviews, which I agree as well.
The flavor is exactly what Ska implies; a Christmas tree hung with fresh grapefruit. Right when it touches the tongue, the citrus flavors explode with sharp lemon and lime flavors. The aggressive white grapefruit tones linger long through the finish, another wow factor for me.
The medium body is laced with sharp carbonation. The sharpness dies abruptly, leaving the aggressive bitterness to take the helm through the finish. This beer only needs to be sipped, because that's all it takes to get smacked by the flavor. I appreciate that, for it makes me feel like I'm not drinking it as fast even though I am. And for that I consider it myself as one of the best light beer ever!
This beer really grabs your taste buds by the pigtails and throws them in the back of it's mobbed up hot rod and hits the gas. If your looking for an aggressively citrus and pine IPA that throws balance to the birds, look no further but Modus Hoperandi! For me, this beer is recommended for people who are having fun such as small family gathering or some little talk on your backyard.

Hoptimus Prime

Hoptimus Prime is definitely an intriguing brand of beer made from Pennsylvania, USA. It’s name somehow correlate with a famous robot from a highly acclaimed Hollywood film. Some beer reviews considered it as one of the best light beers, Pennsylvania has ever produced.
This so called “best light beer” pours a clear, deep copper color with a minimal off-white head. Though little head develops, there is a stick around leaving a foam ring around the glass along with swirls of foam which is a big plus factor for this one. Its luscious appearance will surely entice your senses to taste it. Other beer reviews consider it as quite normal but its name is a factor making its appearance a “yummy one”.

This best light beer has pretty subdued nose for a DIPA. Some earthy and floral hops are here along with a subtle sweet malt character. As mentioned, the aroma isn't all that strong, but some distinct characteristics do come through it. As I browse some beer reviews, its weak aroma is okay and matches its taste which I barely agree in.

The taste follows along with the nose although the flavors are a bit bolder. The earthy hops that were in the nose aren't as noticeable but some herbal hop character is picked up. What really stand out are the floral hops. Not strong, relatively speaking, but definitely the dominant hop aspect here. The sweet malt is still there but stays in the background. There is a considerable bitter finish that is stronger when the beer is colder. The bitterness lingers just a bit but, surprisingly, isn't all that sticky or oily. Personally, I love the taste and its twist. I definitely consider it as one of the best light beer I had ever tasted!

Its medium to heavy mouthfeel with medium carbonation give a slick mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness, as mentioned, but it's not the sticky type. Most DIPA seem to either be dry or somewhat dry or sticky and oily. This one is neither, which seems to throw me off a bit. Its really different from other best light beers I had tasted. This is the factor why I like this one the most.

Overall, it has an excellent DIPA. Kind of muted aromas and flavors, to the point where they can be picked out but nothing hits you in the face and takes over. The fact that nothing dominates over everything else is fine if it's a balanced beer but this one is hop forward with a slight amount of malt character and still nothing stands out head and shoulders above the rest. This beer is recommended for light dinners or as a partner for finger foods for some little chit-chat with friends.

Cucapá La Migra Imperial Stout

Cucapá La Migra Imperial Stout is one of the best strong beer I accidentally tasted. This beer made from Mexico has a great taste which I guess everyone should try! It is one of the favorites among beer reviews in the internet. I personally recommend that you should try this best strong beer by Mexicans!
This best strong beer has a deeply roasted Imperial Stout with a complex dance of well rooted sweetness and heavy burnt grains. It is indeed a good mix for me.

It is pouring with a thick and hazy very dark brown color; this best strong beer screams "Stout" while carrying a dainty yet withstanding light tan head of tightly knit bubbles and slight pockets of lace left behind. A quintessential Imperial Stout appearance of it adds another “yum factor” for this one. Other beer reviews salute this beer for its great appearance plus its appealing graphics on the side.

Burnt grains, cocoa, roasted walnuts, and slight sour scents all fill the nose with a lush and robust scent. Grain sweetness of molasses, cooked berries and scorched cobbler all culminate in a tart, sweet, and roasty aroma. I bet its aroma would entice your senses and will make you want really bad to taste this best strong beer from Mexico. A “super plus-plus factor” for me!

Deep roasted coffees, dry cocoa powder, bitter walnuts, heavy toasted breads, and scorched caramel all play into the bold and full flavors. Burnt currants, grapes, berries, and apples give a bridge across the roast character and into the easterly portions of mid palate. Finishing with coffee and roasted bitterness, a malty tartness arises that reminds me slightly of soured milk in a good manner.

Full bodied as well, the lush and creamy initial textures actually make a quicker transition to dryness faster than expected from large Stouts. Never reaching complete dryness, the roasted acrid feel allows for a slight harsh powdery texture that falls apart and allowing a grainy sweet feel in finish. A great drinking experience indeed!

Overall, a solid Stout, but with so many world class versions on the market, this one may get overlooked yet should be tasted by alcohol lovers. This beer is recommended for all who wants to taste the great side of bitter beers. Majority of beer reviews agreed that it is indeed one of the most celebrated liquor which a drinker must try!

Brown Angel

This beer made from Massachusetts, USA is one of my friends’ personal favorite. That is the very reason why I ended up tasting this so called “best strong beer” according to them. I read other beer reviews concerning Brown Angel and I found out it’s a craze already on some parts of USA.
Its appearance was a plus factor for calling it as one of the best strong beer. It pours a very dark brown color with a small 1/8" head of tan bubbles on top that was quite active as I was pouring and faded quickly to a small ring where the beer meets the glass. When you hold the beer tipped to the light, you can see through the corner that the beer is pretty clear overall and has a defined brown (as opposed to Red) hue. There is a pretty decent amount of lace left on the glass after drinking, and it is a bit lighter color than the head itself, which is a little unusual to note.

The aroma of this best strong beer is okay as well for me. I initially got a pretty decent amount of American hops mixed with some defined dark caramel notes and some subtle toasty notes to accentuate the whole ensemble. There was also a chocolate malt presence that was obvious. As the beer has sat for a little bit, the dark caramel is moving more toward toffee, and there is a little bit of alcohol noticeable already as some spice. Its aroma is a big factor why I learned to love this best strong beer as called by my friends. Other beer reviews agrees with me that its aroma is way too excellent!

Brown Angel’s taste is way too good as well. The flavor follows the aroma pretty closely. There are some hops up front and they challenge the malt a bit, but overall the profile is balanced pretty solidly toward the malt. There is some balance provided as much by the roast acidity and alcohol as from hops. The carbonation is a bit low, so the beer comes across a bit watery with regard to mouthfeel; however, there are a lot of residual sugars left in the beer, so it won't ever come across thin. The hops and roast acidity are getting more pronounced as the beer warms up, and the chocolate is definitely coming out more which I personally love!

This is a pretty well made “best strong beer” overall. I personally like that the balance is biased toward the malt. The contribution from the dark malts is a bit strong, and maybe just increasing the carbonation would change that impression. I am going to hold out by saying that this is a pretty darn good American Brown Ale, and I would like to try it on tap where the carbonation would be a bit more controlled. Otherwise, this beer is recommended for all of you beer drinkers. All those beer reviews from the internet were pretty true, so if I were you, come on and try this one!

Big Worse/Mikkeller

Mikkeller is one those rare beers I consider as one of the best light beer that the world has ever produced! This beer made from Denmark is a widely favorite among beer reviews in the internet. It’s quite expensive yet I may say its worth it.

The appearance of this best light beer pours pretty murky brown colors with no head at all after a pretty conservative pour. I was hoping to keep the carbonation in the liquid, but this is a bit much as I would like to see something at least. As still as it is, it looks like a glass of wine in my glass; just brown and murky-like wine. It maybe quite a normal one when compare to other beers in the market all over the world.

The aroma is one of the factors why I love this best light beer! It has strong peppery alcohol notes to go along with some malt, but there is a defined dryness that seems like it is barrel aging. I don't know if this best light beer is barrel aged, but it sure smells like it which majority of beer reviews loved. I do get some reserved hops in the nose that seem like they may be bordering on citrusy, like they are American hops, but this is muted by the wood aromatics. A plus factor anyway for me. I definitely love its aroma!

This best light beer is a lot fruitier than I thought it would be from the aroma. There are a lot of fruits that you don't normally get in a beer like this, like apricots in particular. You don't get to pick the fruit out for long as the aggressive alcohol comes in quick and gives you some spice to enjoy up-front and then a defined warming to linger long after the sip. The beer itself is a whole lot thinner and easier to drink than I thought it would be from the aroma. There really is no carbonation to speak of, but the alcohol makes it come across the palate pretty quickly but leaving it mark. As you cleanse your palate with water and keep sipping the beer as it warms, the flavor profile keeps changing. Now it is coming across rather sweet on the lips with notes of slightly burnt honey, but now there is more hop bitterness becoming noticeable.

Overall this is really a pretty good beer, so I have been pleasantly thrilled. All other beer reviews give it a positive mark. This beer isn't like other American brands so it is truly a must try. This beer is recommended on heavy dinner dates and different parties out there.
